Tohidu - fulfilling peace (Toe-he-do), a term from the Cherokee, describes a path of life that leads to complete inner peace. Here it is not only meant that We live in peace, but we live in peace and in nourishing basic trust in the great mystery. Peace is in us spiritually, physically and mentally.  This path involves several steps to reach Tohidu. The first step is to find out who and what you are as a unique individual in this world. Traditionally, the girls and boys at the age of about 10 years went on a vision search under the guidance and protection of the elders. Today, adults can go in search of vision to get clarity about who they are – but many never discover their own destiny.  Nowadays, more ceremonies are available – one of which is used to get one's own spiritual name. This name is asked in the ceremony and indicates in which spiritual power one should grow into oneself. The name itself is secret – it requires listening and feeling out exactly what it means. The meaning of the name unfolds over years – until you suddenly realize that you have become the name yourself. You live the life for which you are destined.   The next step on the path to Tohidu is to collect his own spiritual medicine. That is, to gain the gifts and abilities to fulfill the purpose of life. In a ceremonial setting and an associated inner attitude, you go into nature and collect 6 spiritual helpers – one for each direction. Here, too, another search opens up to you: to find out the depth of the messages of their spiritual helpers.  As a third important step, you light a holy fire and deal with your life path – from birth to death. During this time, they will realize what is necessary for you for a happy and fulfilled life. So in Tohido Week you start with the "Dance of Life". You learn to listen and let yourself selves be guided – by the spirits and the rhythms in your live. Happiness, fulfillment and lightness will then find their way into your live – some call this an "enchanted life".  Many of you will hear a spiritual call to bring an ambassador into your own life – be it the sacred pipe, a rattle, flute or drum. Or even a holy staff or the original language – something with which you will learn not only to lead an "enchanted life" yourself, but also to help other people to do so.  A week of Tohidu - fulfilling peace.
